Nokia to launch More Life Tools after huge success in India
The Life Tools that Nokia is planning to roll out include agricultural and educational services for mobile users in rural areas, after achieving great success in the India market.
A company executive from Nokia informs that following a successful pilot program in India, the brand plans to roll out its Life Tools group of services to more emerging markets.
The emerging markets in Asia are seen as an important source of growth by Nokia as the number of mobile subscribers increases and many come to rely on their handsets for Internet access.
Offerings under the category of agriculture in Life Tools include local weather forecasts, information on crop prices at local markets, advice on growing crops, as well as pricing information for pesticides, seeds and fertilizer.
Educational services on the other hand include English lessons and advice on taking exams, while sports scores and music are available for entertainment.
